17 candidates files nomination papers

SHIMLA------Seventeen candidates filed their nomination papers today for the Lok Sabha elections from Mandi, Shimla, Hamirpur and Kangra parliamentary constituencies of Himachal Pardesh.
Four candidates filed their papers from Mandi parliamentary constituency including Smt. Pratibha Singh of INC, Shri Ram Swaroop Sharma of BJP, Shri Lala Ram of BSP while Shri Het Singh filed his papers as a covering candidate of BSP.
From Kangra parliamentary constituency, Shri Chander Kumar of INC, Shri Dhani Ram as independent candidate, Shri Baldev Raj Sood of Himachal Swabhiman Party and Shri Rajan Sushant of Aam Admi Party also filed their nomination papers today.
Shri Virender Kashyap of BJP, Shri Suresh Kumar as covering candidate of BJP and Shri Jagat Ram of CPI (M) also filed their nominations today from Shimla Parliamentary Constituency.
From Hamirpur Parliamentary Constituency 6 candidates filed their papers today. Shri Aashish Kumar and Shri Ami Chand filed their papers as Independent candidates, Shri Shiv Dutt as Shiv Sena candidate, Shri Rakesh Kumar as BSP candidate while Shri Virender Singh filed nomination as covering candidate of BJP. Smt. Kamal Kanta Batra filed her nomination paper as Aam Admi Party candidate.
