
Dharamshala 8th February : While presiding over the District Level Planning,
Development and 20 Point Programm meeting here today, Shri Ravinder Singh Ravi, Irrigation & Public Health Minister said that over 75% targets have been achieved in Kangra district upto December, 2010. He said that marketing yard Dharamshala would be made functional before the end of this financial year, which would facilitate the local farmers to sale produce at their door steps.
Shri Ravi said that Himachal Pradesh had ranked in first position for implementation of 20 point program effectively in the country during last year and efforts are being afoot to maintain the status in current year. He asked the officers to accelerate the pace of development in a right perspective and achieve the all targets by the end of February positively.
He said that State had launched Atal Swasthya Seva in different parts of the state, with a view to provide free ambulance service to the people of the state by dialing toll free number 108. He said that 50 ambulances have been positioned in different parts of the state in 1stphase, out of which 10 ambulances provided to district Kangra and 7 more ambulances would be allotted in 2nd phase. In a short span of one month 659 patients have been provided free ambulance facility in Kangra district alone, he added.
Minister said that under MNREGA programm, more than Rs. 49 crores have been spent to provide 100 days employment to the jobcard holders and generated 45 lakh men days upto December, 2010. Besides 9096 poor SC families have been assisted against the target of 11396 during the said period, he added.
Deputy Commissioner Kangra RS Gupta welcomed the Chief Guest and detailed the various achievements under 20 point program in the district and assured that target fixed for the district would be achieved in a stipulated period, so that maximum people to be benefited.
Shri Yograj and Shri Nikhil Rajor both MLAs, Chairman Zila Prishad Smt. Shreshta Koundal, Non-Official members of the committee and other Senior Officers attended the meeting.
