BJP raised voice against Sudhir Sharma’s voting in Dharamsala MC

Vijyender Sharma

Dharmshala-----BJP today objected to the casting of vote by state minister Sudhir Sharma in the Dharamsala Municipal Corporation elections. BJP alleged that Sharma during the Panchayati Raj elections, had voted from the Rakkar Panchayat of Dharamsala sub-division. Rakkar has not been included in?the newly constituted Dharamsala Municipal Corporation.

Sharma said, "As my name is there in the voters' list, I voted." Sarvan Manta, SDM Dharamsala, who is also the election officer for Corporation elections said, "The Electoral Roll was prepared using the data of Election Commission of India for assembly election. These booth wise voter lists were divided into wards after field verification through the authorised officers. Three stage objections were called/invited against any entry or error and the objections were disposed of and voter list finalised."
