CM inaugurates and lays foundation stone of development projects worth Rs.134 crore

DHARMSHALA-- Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh on his second day tour to Kangra district had performed foundation stone laying ceremonies and inaugurated developmental projects worth Rupees 134 crore.
The Chief Minister performed foundation stone laying ceremony of State of Art Industrial Area at Kandrori (Industrial Corridor) to be spread over 1896 Kanals costing Rs. 106 crore. He also performed foundation stone laying ceremony of Bleer-Dainkwan road to cost Rs. 2.87 crore, foundation stone of Police Post building at Dhangupir near Pathankot in Indora to cost Rs. 1.80 crore and performed foundation stone of Bridge over Sanjwan rivulet to cost Rs 2.60 crore.
Shri Virbhadra Singh inaugurated science block of Government senior secondary school Gangath constructed with an outlay of Rs 59 lakh and inaugurated 33/11 KV un-manned electric sub-station at Attara near Gangath, which will benefit population of 32000 persons of the area besides improving voltage and un-interrupted power supply. He also inaugurated electricity board station at Damtal completed at a cost of Rs.3.59 crore. This will improve voltage supply problem and avoid overloading on the existing 33 KV and will provide un-interrupted power supply and reduce transmission and distribution losses. He also inaugurated Primary Health Centre at Hagwal in Gram Panchayat Gagwal and inaugurated bridge over Surdwan rivulet in Gram Panchayat Surdwan completed at a cost of Rs. 2.90 crore.
The Chief Minister also paid obeisance in the ancient old Ram Gopal temple at Damtal. He directed to restore the traditional Kangra paintings in the temple complex and said that a provision of rupees two crore had been made for the purpose. He also directed to remove the illegal encroachments around the 500 year old temple premises.
Earlier, while addressing public meeting at Gangath after inaugurating science block of GSSS Gangath, the Chief Minister announced up-gradation of Government High School (Girls) to Senior Secondary School. He also announced a sum of rupees two crore for construction of bridge over Palakh Khud. He also directed to undertake repair work of Gangath Bazar road. He advised the teachers to dedicate themselves for concentrating teaching works rather than indulging in transfers throughout the year. He also assured that the vacant posts of doctors in Community Health Centre Gangath would be soon filled and also announced an ambulance for the centre.
