Hercules Mountain Biking Himachal-2008" expeditions

SHIMLA--Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister gave a clarion call to the participants of all adventures events to be the ambassador of Himachal Tourism and motivate people from all walks of life, and every look in corner of the world to get re-energetic by spending some time in the lap of nature in the State. He was addressing the participates of "Himalyan Adventure Sports and Tourism Promotion Association "Hercules Mountain Biking Himachal-2008" expeditions, he flagged off from Peterhoff here today. The event co-incedented with the celebrations of world tourism day and would commemorate on 6th of October,2008 at Manali. The event is jointly being organized by Himachal Pradesh Tourism, incredible India, Hercules cycle and conducted by Himalayan Adventure sport and Tourism promotion association, where in participants from different countries are taking part.Chief Minister said that the cyclist would be passing through the inner area of the State where the nature was at its best and besides adventure enjoy the congenial climate of the State. He said that adventure filled with immense natural beauty and congenial climate would re-energize the participants to make their journey memorable. He said that the adventure expedition participants were the real ambassadors who touch the nature and feel it more intimately to tell the rest of the world about the natural potential State had to offer to its visitors. He said that the word of mouth was the best made of publicity and the visitors to the State could be instrumental in giving renewed momentum to Tourism promotion in the State. He said that the State adventure was giving added attention towards the promotion of rural tourism and recently launched the Home Stay Scheme to involve rural people in promotion of tourism in the State in a big way.
Dhumal welcome all the participants of the expedition from different part of the world to H.P and said that their stay during the eleven day would be memorable. He wished all the participants best of luck and memorable time. He also thanked the organiser for organising world level cycling expedition in Himachal Pradesh, which would add to its tourism promotion of the State in a big way.Smt.Manisha Nanda, Secretary Tourism welcomed the Chief Minister and said that the State was committedly promoting unexploded tourism and preserving the environment. She said that the natural beauty and ecological environment were the invaluable assets of the State which were being exploited to attract maximum tourists to visit Himachal, since the State had adopted the policy of "Himachal for all seasons and all reasons".
Shri Mohit Sood, President, Himalyan adventures sports and tourism promotion association welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed the events. He elaborated the arrangement made for the expeditions.Shri Raghu Ram,Vice President of Hercules cycle also spoke.
