CM Jai Ram Thakur announces IPH Division at Baddi

SOLAN-------------Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced that an Irrigation and Public Health Division would be established in Baddi for smooth functioning of the Irrigation and Public Health Department. He was addressing the public meeting at Hare Krishna Goshala in Malku Majra Baddi area of Solan district today.

            The Chief Minister said that the twenty two month tenure of the present State Government was full of achievements and the people of the State were giving wholehearted support to the government. He said that the State government believes in delivering instead of making tall claims. He said that the people gave their full support and ensured the landslide victory of the BJP candidates in the Lok Sabha Election and the party set a record in itself by winning in all the 68 Assembly constituencies of the State in the Lok Sabha elections and the party. He said that the vote share of the BJP was highest in these elections.

            Jai Ram Thakur said that the people have once again give full support to the State government in the by election held on Monday. He said that Jan Manch programme launched by the State Government had been appreciated even by the political opponents where people get their grievances redressed on the spot on the required directions of the Ministers. He said that now the 1100 Chief Minister Helpline was also proving a boon to the people for redressal of their grievances.

            The Chief Minister said that Union Government had launched Ayushmaan Bharat Yojna for providing insurance cover of rupees five lakh. The State Government was also implementing this scheme effectively so that maximum people could be benefitted. He said that as many as 22 lakh people of the State had been covered under the scheme.  He said that the State Government has launched Him Care scheme to provide health insurance cover to those families who were not covered under Ayushmaan Bharat Yojna.

            Jai Ram Thakur said that free gas connections were being provided under the Grihini Suvidha Yojna and efforts were on to make Himachal Pradesh a smoke free State. He said that Rs. 8.5 crore cess had been collected from the sale of liquor bottle for construction and maintenance of Gau Sadans in the State. 

            He announced upgradation of Government High School Rampur to Senior Secondary School and Government Middle School Bhud to High School. He also announced opening of Police Station at Manpura and a City Police Post at Vardhman Chowk besides starting of Science classes at Government Senior Secondary School Ghare.

            Earlier the Chief Minister inaugurated Tehsil Office at Baddi constructed by spending an amount of about  Rs. 2.15 crore.

            He also laid foundation stone of Tehsil Welfare Office building with Type IV quarters at Baddi to be constructed by spending Rs 75 lakh.

            Later, the Chief Minister laid foundation stone of cow sanctuary at Handa Kundu to be constructed by spending about rupees three crore. 

            The Chief Minister also inaugurated administrative block of Police Line Baddi completed at a cost of Rs 1.51 crore. 

            Later the Chief Minister visited Sri Radhakrishna Gaushala in Baddi.

             

            Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar said that in the very first cabinet of the State Government, decision was taken to levy cess of one rupee per bottle of liquor for setting up of Gau Sadans and cow sanctuaries in the State for ensuring the cows does not linger on the roads. He said that several cow sanctuaries were being  established by the State Government for proving a better shelter to the cows.

            Member of Parliament Suresh Kashyap said that the double engine of the Centre and State Government has accelerated the pace of development in the State. He thanked the people for giving him whole hearted support in the Lok Sabha elections.

            MLA Doon Paramjit Singh Pammi said that the sole motto of the State Government led by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was to ensuring equitable development of the State. He said that several schemes had been launched by the government to improve the lot of the poor and downtrodden.

            Vice Chairman, Water Management Board Darshan Singh Saini said that the State was fortunate to have Jai Ram Thakur as the Chief Minister who was always concerned for overall development of the State.

            Vice Chairman, Gau Seva Ayog Ashok Sharma thanked the Chief Minister for setting up Gau Seva Ayog in the State.

            Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal, Chairperson, State Women Commission Dr. Dazie Thakur, former MLA K.L. Thakur were present on the occasion among others.
