Himachal Pradesh fully equipped to deal with Swine Flu

SHIMLA----Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, reviewed the situation of Swine Flu in Himachal Pradesh here today with the officers of Health Department. He directed that adequate stock of medicines and diagnostics should be made available in the Health Institutions in the State. He further directed that adequate IEC campaign must be regularly launched to educate the people in this regard.
He was appraised that the Public Health facilities in Himachal Pradesh are fully equipped to deal with Swine Flu cases. Anti Viral Drugs are available in ample quantity. Testing facilities for Seasonal Flu are available at Indira Gandhi Govt. Medical College Shimla, Dr. Rajender Prasad Govt. Medical College Tanda & Central Research Institute Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh.
ACS Health R.D. Dhiman was also present in the meeting.
