All India open selection rally for outstanding sportspersons

Shimla---All India open selection rally for admission of outstanding young boys in athletics, boxing and volleyball teams of Boys Sports Company, The Madras Regimental Centre, Wellington (Nilgiris) Tamilnadu would be held from 23rd May to 28th May, 2016. The objective of the rally is to select and groom potential talent in selected sports disciplines to improve and achieve our medal prospectus in future International Sports competitions.
The selection trials, physical and technical skills test in the sports disciplines will be held under Sports Authority of India Coaches and Board of Officer. The selection will remain provisional until approved by IHQ of MoD (Army) and Sports Authority of India. The selected cadets will be called up after final approval is received.
The candidates between 11 years to 15 years as on 1st April, 2014 and 16 years in exceptionally outstanding cases of medals winners of International/National level will be eligible. Minimum educational qualification is 5th pass with proficiency in English and Hindi. Physical fitness for age group of 12 years is 153 cms height and 35 kg weight, 13 years is 155 cm height and weight 42 kgs and 14 years is 160 cms height and weight 47 kgs.
