SHIMLA-------Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has raised concern about the amount being spent by BJP prime-ministerial candidate Narinder Modi on his election campaigns. Addressing rallies at Pujarali, Tikkar, Deoli and Baggi, in Shimla district today, the chief minister said that Modi was spending crores on his election rallies which was likely to be fatal for the country in near future.
He said that Election commission of India should inquire about the huge sum in crores being spent by Modi in his election rallies and campaigns.
“’I have a long political career and I can well judge from my experience that BJPs Election campaign would be a threat to the nation in times ahead” said Virbhadra Singh.
He added that today Modi is recalling Sardar Vallabh bahi Patel and was trying to tell the people of the country that Sh. Patel had the same ideology as BJP have. Has Narinder Modi, forgotten the Father of the Nation Sh. Mahatma Gandhi, who had also been from Gujarat questioned Sh Singh. why Modi refrains from following his ideals. He said that Modi was the man behind Gujarat riots where thousands of minority people were killed mercilessely.
Taking a jibe at Modi , Sh Singh said that modi has no such political experience the way he is highlighting the same. He added that he has been Chief Minister of Gujarat for just three times whereas he has been Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh for six times and besides was member of parliament and union minister too.
Only the person who is secular, upon whom the people can trust, who knows how to respect all religions and who has the caliber of taking along with the people of the country with him is eligible for becoming primeminister of the country, said Virbhadra Singh.
He said that former chief minister, prem kumar dhumal always fabricated false cases against him whenever the BJP was in power. Twice he tried to implicate me in false cases, asserted Sh singh, adding that he won’t be cowed down by his ulterior cheap political tactics. As far as the people of the State have love and blessings for him he don’t fear from prem kumar dhumal, said chief minister.
The day is not far when the dream of modi and Dhumal will flat to the ground as the congress has fielded strong candidates from the State to contest Lok Sabha elections and they will win by huhge margin, said Sh Singh.
He said that the right to information Act was the brain-child of UPA government and today citizens of India were free to obtain any type of information under the Act. Besides, MANREGA, Lokpal Bill and Food security act were innovation of UPA government and lot many welfare schemes in various sectors were being implemented in the country, which were started by congress.
Virbhadra singh exhorted to vote in favour of congress candidate mohan lal bragta so that equitable development could be ensured.
