Himachal Minister Criticised BJP

Vijyender Sharma

SHIMLA-----Industries and Parliamentary affairs minister Mukesh Agnihotri has strongly ridiculed the BJP top brass and Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) for raising finger on the decision of the Governor, Urmila Singh  for giving prosecution  sanction of former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his son Anurag Dhumal in their alleged involvement in HPCA scam. The behaviour of the BJP leaders was uncalled for and disgraceful as Governor is the Constitutional head of the State and questioning her role in any decision she takes is unlawful and direct attack on democracy.

Replying to the false accusations leveled by the BJP against the Governor of acting in haste to grant permission to prosecute Dhumals, Agnihotri said that the charge-sheet was based on facts and not like the one submitted by BJP to the Governor against congress which was a bundle of lies, ambiguous and misleading just to divert attention of the people from their misdeeds.

The BJP has blemished the rich traditions of the H.P Vidhan Sabha by boycotting the Budget speech of the Governor and entire budget session earlier also. It seems that BJP leaders have become directionless and is now terming the decision of the Governor as politically motivated. It seems that BJP does not believe in the Constitution of the Country. When in power, everything seems to be right for them and whenever they have to sit in opposition, instead of accepting their defeat they are in habbit of making contemptuous remarks against the ruling and now have crossed the limits by making disrespectful remarks against the Governor, who is the constitutional head of the state.

Dhumal Government went out of the way to give precious government land worth crores at five places to Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association headed by the son of Shri Prem Kumar Dhumal, said Mukesh Agnihotri and now when their misdeeds are open to public they are making frivolous and false remarks.

He said that Congress Party believes in clean politics and good governance, only those found guilty would be punished and those who have done nothing wrong need not to fear the course of Law. The untoward behaviour of the BJP leaders is disgraceful and they have played with the expectations of the common people which is most unfortunate and undemocratic.
