MUMBAI----B-Town stars and dignitaries celebrated the colorful harvest festival of 'Baisakhi' in Mumbai on Friday with full enthusiasm, among foot tapping Punjabi music and folk dances. “Baishaki Di Raat” was rocked by the mix of Punjabi Icon’s from Bollywood, politics, sports and business which was organized by Punjabi Culture Heritage Board president Congress MLC Charan Singh Sapra and he honoured "PUNJABI ICON AWARDS” to the Punjabis who have excelled in their respective fields. Standup Comedian Sunil Grover came in first and was seen in his popular avatar Gutthi making people breathless on his hilarious joke and also taught some gidda to the audience He was seen praising Punjabi culture. He said, “It was a memorable day for me as I am celebrating Baisakhi here it is a very popular festival of Punjabis which is spreading brotherhood and I feel entire Punjab has come to Maharashtra”. Bollywood actors Sonu Sood was seen shaking his legs on Bhangra with Rashmi Desai and Congress leader Charan Singh Sapra. Charan Singh Sapra said, “its good to see so many Punjabi celebrities are doing great work into their fields. I wish them all luck and happy “Baisakhi Di Raat.” Rajneesh Duggal and Tina Dutta graced the event with their presence. Meanwhile, Punjabi actor and singer Gippy Garewal lured the audience with his thrilling performance. Singer and Anchor Satinder Satti given energetic performance and made the function ‘Baisakhi Di Raat’ memorable.
