Registration of Food Business Establishments mandatory

SHIMLA----------The online Licensing and Registration of all Food Business Establishments in the State had been made mandatory by 4th February, 2014.
A spokesman of the State Government said here today that all Food Business Operators including Pansari shop, Dhaba, Restaurant, Hotel, Guest House, Canteen, Stall owners, Milk and Egg shop owners, meat shop owners, Civil Supply shop, Store, Depot, Wine shop, Agriculture and Horticulture store/ depot, Railway, Airport, Military and Para Military food store/depot, Government and Semi Government and hospital Canteen and Catering business operators should register their business establishments besides getting online license by 4th February, 2014.
He said that the food business operators who would not register their establishments by 4th February, 2014 would be fined Rs. 100 per day under Food Safety and Standard Act, 2006. He said that for more information one can contact in the office of District Health Officer and Food Security Officer in their respective districts.
Meeting of H.P. Other Backward Classes Welfare Board

SHIMLA-------A spokesman of the State Government said here today that Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh would preside over the meeting of Himachal Pradesh Other Backward Classes Welfare Board on 23rd January, 2014 at 10 A.M. at Prayas Bhawan, Government Degree College, Dharamshala in District Kangra.
Rajya Sabha elections

SHIMLA-------Narender Chauhan, Chief Electoral Officer said here today that notification for Election for one seat of Rajya Shabha, which was going to be vacant on 9th April, 2014 in the State would be issued on 21 January, 2014. Last date for filling the nominations will be 28th January, 2014.
He said that scrutiny of nomination papers would be done on 29th January, 2014 and names could be withdrawn upto 31st January, 2014. He said that if necessary, the polling would be held on 7th February, 2014 from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. The election process would be completed on 10th February, 2014, he added.
Shri Chauhan said that the contesting general candidates for the election will have to deposit Rs. 10,000 as security money. This amount has been fixed at Rs. 5,000 for scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates.
The polling for the election would be held at Dr. Y.S. Parmar Vidhan Sabha Library in the campus of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, Shimla.
