Prime Minister must answer : Anurag Thakur

BIJENDER Sharma
MATHURA---Rashtriya Ekta Yatra organised for the purpose of bringing forth the attitude of the Central Govt., which is lying in slumber after becoming carefree about the situation prevailing in Kashmir. The support being received by the yatra in rural areas as well as from the urban awakened community shows clearly that every citizen of India is worried about the Kashmir problem. While drawing attention of the Central Govt. towards this concern, BJYM National President Shri Anurag Thakur has put a direct question to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to clear his stand in regard thereto. Appealing to Prime Minister to break his silence he has said that the country wants to know as to what is being done by the Congress led Central Govt. to solve the Kashmir problem.
The Yatra again reached Uttar Pradesh on the 8th day after passing through West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. A warm welcome was extended to Rashtirya Ekta Yatra in Agra from where it left in the morning and reached Bharatpur of Rajasthan. In the public meeting held there, Shri Thakur put Congress in the dock and said that had its intentions were clear, Kashmir would not have faced such a situation. The Kashmir problem is the legacy of Congress and at the same time it is responsible for making it so complicated. BJYM National President Sh. Anurag Thakur has said that the Congress, which remained in power at the centre for so many years, had always adopted double standards on Kashmir. BJYM President has asked the Central Govt. as to whether it is not a policy of discrimination that devotees killed in Amarnath were given no compensation at all whereas cheques of rupees 5 lakhs each were sent at the homes of separatists.
He said that the govt. is planning to give some sort of allowance to terrorists whereas it has no funds for giving such an allowance to the personnel of Special Police Force fighting against terrorism. He termed the attempt of amending the Armed Forces Special Powers Act as a conspiracy to bring down the morale of security forces.
Shri Anurag Thakur has said that Omar Abdullah used to talk about the integrity of India in Indian Parliament but now after becoming Chief Minister how same Omar Abdullah is talking about curfew like conditions in valley. Whether such a thinking on the part of Omar Abdullah and the language of separatism being spoken by interlocutors appointed by the Central Govt. can help solve the Kashmir problem?
Highlighting the agony of Kashmiri Pandits Shri Thakur has said that they have been living a life of refugees for the last two decades but the Central Govt. and the State Govt. has no concern at all about their return to their homes in valley. Making a demand from the Central Govt. for rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits Shri Thakur has said that Govt. should feel the agony of Kashmiri Pandits instead of terrorists and make suitable arrangements for their return to their homes. He said that the Prime Minister should answer all these questions and make clear Central Govt.’s stand in regard to Kashmir.
Questions to Prime Minister:
• Why the Congress led Central Govt. is not making clear its policy on Kashmir?
• Whether the decision to bring back the terrorists from Pak occupied Kashmir and settle them in the valley will be a correct one?
• Why Kashmiri Pandits are not being rehabilitated?
• Why there is need of making amendments in the Armed Forces Special Powers Act?
• The concrete decision taken during the talks held at diplomatic level between India and Pakistan in regard to Jammu & Kashmir should be made public.
