Akhil Bhartiya Brahmin Kalyan Mahasangh today demanded reservations on the basis of economic condition

JAWALAMUKHI---The JawalaMukhi unit of Akhil Bhartiya Brahmin Kalyan Mahasangh today demanded reservations on the basis of economic condition and not based on a caste which is creating the age-old caste system.
This was said in a unanimous resolution adopted at the meeting of the sabha here today under the chairmanship of Local Convener V K Upmanyu .
The meeting also demanded that Maharishi Parashu Ram Jayanti should be declared a gazetted holiday as all other adjoining states of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan had done.
Another resolution insisted that the state Brahmin welfare and development board should be formed for the welfare of this totally neglected community despite its major role in all spheres of life in the state. Several prominent leaders of the community, including Ashok Gautam, Capt. Suman Sharma, Pandit Amar Nath, Jagdish Sharma , Sukhdev Sharma and also present on this occasion.
