Ramesh Dhawala, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister has today asked the officers of the Department to take action against profiteering, black marketing and hoarding and exercise check on rise in prices. He said that ,however, Himachal Pradesh was a consumer State and foodgrains and essential commodities were supplied to the State by other States and thus State Government had no control on real price of the commodities.
Shri Dhawala also directed the officers to ensure that all the shopkeepers should display price list of essential commodities of day to day use such as foodgrains, onion, vegetables etc. on their shops and added that if any shopkeeper found guilty of the same, action as per law should be initiated against them. He said that the Government of India has also reduced 32 percent kerosene oil quota from April, 2010 to the State. He said that 3352 kilolitre kerosene oil was supplied to the State against the request of 5627 kilolitre by the Central Government every month. He said that efforts were being made to provide kerosene oil to the industrial workers in industrial areas under 'Open Market Scheme' of the State.
He said that State Government would request the Central Government for setting up of Auto LPG Dispenser Gas Station in the State. He said that Government was also considering to set up Auto LPG Dispenser Gas Station on experimental basis in all the district headquarters of the State.
