INCLUDE PAHARI LANGUAGE IN EIGHT SCHDULED DEMANDS  NON RESIDENT HIMACHALIS--

SHIMLA----All India Himachal Social Bodies Federations , apex organizations of  Non Resident Himachalis settled in Metropolitian cities of Country and Abroad  today requested the union govt to include Pahari Language in Eight Scheduled of the constitutions to promote and preserve ancient language which is on verge of distinction due to onslaught  of English and Hindi Language in Hill state which are  replacing the role of mother tongues very fastly

The resolution in this effect was passed in two day meeting of All India  Himachal Social Bodies Federation held today in New Delhi in which 80 delegates from various states of India and abroad made a strong plea for promoting Pahari Language on the pattern of Dogri Language and  undertake  research and writing in Pahari Language to preserve and promote the ancient language widely spoken in hill areas of Himachal Pradesh said Sh D.D.Dogra President Himachal Kalyan Sabha NewDelhi

He said that eminent pahari language authors have enriched  the hill literature immensely by writing books and literature in Pahari Language  and intellectuals  from all walks of society have been canvassing for including the language in eight scheduled from last fifty  years but govt apathy has ruined their hopes  

Sh D.D.Dogra President Himachal Kalyan Sabha New Delhi requested himachal chief minister sh virbhadra singh to start  official publications  like annual reports etc in Pahari Language and also devote exclusive pages of  official mouth piece of state govt journal "Giriraj  Weekly " for promotion of Pahari language by publishing news and  articles in Pahari Language .He demanded fellowship programmes for writers of Pahari Language  for research and promotion of Pahari Language and also set up  institute for promotion of Pahari Language.

Sh D.D.Dogra President Himachal Kalyan Sabha New Delhi demanded adequate budget provision in next railways budget  for completion of Nangal ---Talwara Railways line and added that only 20 kilo metre new railways network has been created in the state after independence and told that  foundation on  this railway line was laid around 40 years back .He said that this railway line can act as second defence link for movement and supply of armed forces in case of emergency.

He also demanded  Shatabdi train  to himachal Pradesh and requested for strengthening of railways infrastructure  for promotion of tourism and other sectors in absence  of any reliable  air connectivity of state with rest of country.

Sh D.D.Dogra President Himachal Kalyan Sabha New Delhi requested the union govt to provide subsidized air services to the tribal populations of Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti on the pattern of North Eastern States and also requested to provide CSD canteen facilities to the people living in border areas since these snow bound areas remains cut off from rest of world for seven month in years due to heavy snowfall and faces shortage of various essential commodities during winter season .He called on   deploying Himachali youths on China and Pak borders keeping in view of their familiarity  with geography of topography of these regions
