Governor urges to restrain from following western culture

SHIMLA---Governor Acharya Devvrat has urged the people to follow the rich Indian culture and traditions instead of running blindly after the western culture as it had never remained part of our culture. He was speaking during a convention organised in Gaiety Theatre here today by Sunil Upadhayay Education Trust.

            He said that India had always remained a great nation due to rich civilization and culture and we spread the message of love, brotherhood, honesty and tolerance. He added that our country had remained integrally strong due to cultural spirituality and this could be carried forward to the coming generations only if we stop imitating the western culture.

            Acharya Devvrat said that we need to learn from the Japan where the people had deep sense of nationalism and inculcate the same in our youth so that foundation of a strong nation could be laid.

            He honoured the social workers on the occasion for their outstanding services to the society.

            National Organsing Secretary of ABVP Shri Sunil Ambekar and National President Dr. Nagesh Thakur also shared their views.

            Vice President of the Trust Shri Sunil Upadhayay briefed about the various activities of the Trust.

            MLA Shri Suresh Bhardwaj and Vice Chancellor, HP University Prof. A.D.N. Bajpai were also present on the occasion.
