High Court directed the SP Shimla to conduct investigation in the matter pertaining to alleged baby swapping

SHIMLA-----High Court of H.P. today directed the Superintendent of Police, Shimla to conduct investigation in the matter pertaining to alleged baby swapping in the Kamla Nehru Hospital, Shimla. The court also issued direction to file status report in this matter within two weeks. Court also made it clear that any deviation shall be viewed seriously. The matter will be now listed before the court on 20th October, 2016 for further hearing.

 Division Bench comprising the Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Jutice Sandeep Sharma passed these orders on a petition filled by Sheetal. The petitioner has alleged in the petition that she gave birth to a child on 26.05.2016, immediately after the birth the petitioner was informed by the nurse that she was blessed with a baby boy. But after 20-25 minutes, a baby girl was handed over to her.
