SHIMLA----The High Court of H.P. today issued directions to the Chief Engineer, HPPWD, all other concerned Officers and Contractor to keep the required machinery available on the spot and take all steps needed for maintaining smooth traffic movement on Theog – Hatkoti road. The court also directed Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, Shimla to take all necessary steps to ensure smooth flow of traffic round the clock. The Court further issued direction to the Contractor to maintain the road properly so that there is no hindrance for the movement of the traffic. In addition all respondents and Committee constituted by the Court was also directed to file fresh status report by or before the next date of hearing.

A Division Bench comprising the Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan passed these orders on Public interest Litigation on the delay in construction of Theog-Hatkoti road. During the hearing of this matter the Devinder Chauhan, Jaita advocate for the intervener brought to the notice of the Court that immediate work is required at some points.
