SHIMLA----The High Court of Himachal Pradesh today directed Secretary, Border Roads Organization, Union of India and Director, Border Roads Organization, New Delhi to file status report on or before 22.09.2015 in the matter pertaining to the rescue of laborers trapped inside a tunnel at Bilaspur. District.
A Division Bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan passed these orders on a petition taken up suo moto by the Court taking cognizance of the news reports on the tragic incident.
On 16.09.2015 the Court has directed the Center and State Government along with National Highway Authority of India & The Himalayan Construction Company, Bilaspur to submit status report in this matter. All the respondents had file status report whereas the same on behalf of Secretary, Border Roads Organization, Union of India and Director, Border Roads Organization, New Delhi. And no one appeared on behalf of Himalayan Construction Co., Bilaspur on the Court.
Therefore, the court directed the above mentioned respondent to file status report on or before 22.09.2015 on which date the matter is fixed.
