Governor asks NCC cadets to participate in social welfare activities

SHIMLA--- Group Commander, NCC Headquarter,  Shimla,  Brig Gyanodaya,  called on Governor Acharya Devvrat at Rajbhawan last evening.  He apprised the Governor about the activities of NCC in the State.
            The Governor said that  the cadets of NCC and  Scouts & Guides should actively participate in nation building activities and cleanliness campaigns. He said that they should also work for awareness among youth about harmful effects of drugs and contribute towards building a drugs free society.
            Brig Gyanodaya apprised the Governor that an NCC Cadet Reena Devi from Himachal Pradesh led the Contingent of All India NCC cadets in the Republic Day parade this year which was an honour to the State.
            Lt. Colonel Shantanu Tomar was also present on the occasion.
