Trade Centre to be set up at Baddi at a cost of Rs. 10.80 crores and 12,000 rooms to be constructed by industrialists.

Kangra-- State would be raising issues of mutually interest in the Northern States Chief Minister's Meet scheduled for 29th September 2008 at Shimla and Trade Centre to be set up at Baddi at a cost of Rs. 10.80 crores and 12,000 rooms to be constructed by industrialists.
This was revealed by Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal in his inaugural address of the two days long 3rd Job Fair 2008 organised by CII HP and Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Industries Association at Kangra by lighting the lamp.Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government had agreed to construct Pinjore-Swarghat Road as four lane Road and Chandigarh-Baddi road also to be constructed by Punjab Government by June next year. He said that in near future and Baddi industrial area will be connected with express highway, connecting upcoming International airport at Mohali. He said that the State Government had recommended BSF Battalion and National Institute of Fashion Designs in district Kangra.
Prof. Dhumal said that a land bank of 6000 bighas was being created by the State Government to save them from getting cheated at the hands of the property dealers in the industrial areas. He said that the State Government was committed to protect the interests of the investors coming to Himachal Pradesh and had constituted a State level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority to complete all codal formalities at the place for setting up of the industrial units in the state. He said that all basic infrastructure was being upgraded in the industrial areas. He said that the state had been pursuing all the pending proposals for disposal with its neighbouring states.Dhumal emphasized the need for appropriate residential facilities to the industrial workers in all the industrial township in the State. He said that people of H.P. were peace loving and maintain their privacy. Chief Minister said that there was need to develop the industrial town in a well planned manner and systematic way so that all basic amenities and congenial atmosphere was created for the development of industrial sector in the State. Prof. Dhumal said that the State was striving hard to achieve the objective of rapid industrialization of the special industrial package announced by former Prime Minister Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee in December, 2002. He said that special package had the incentives of generating vast employment to every educated unemployed youth, which was yet to be achieved. He said that the state faced discrimination at the hands of Central Government, which reduced the period of the package. Chief Minister welcomed the members of the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Industries Association and CII and thanked them for organizing Job Fair at Kangra to select eligible unemployed youth in various industrial units in the State. He lauded the endeavours of the Association in fulfillment of the commitment of the State Government to provide 70 per cent employment at all level to the state youth. He appealed the unemployed youth to take advantage of the 'Job Fair' and progress ahead to lead economically secure life in the society.
Later, Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister laid foundation stone of a bridge over Baner Khadd at village Baddar-Bhalla to be constructed a cost of Rs. 261 lakh.
Ramesh Dhwala, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Labour and Employment Minister reiterated the resolve of the state Government to protect the interests of the unemployed youth. He thanked Chief Minister for increasing minimum wages, which had benefitted the industrial workers as well. He underlined for housing facilities in industrial areas by constructing workers colonies. He said that 1.57 lakh Photo Identity Cards had been issued to industrial workers.
Rajender Guleria, President Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Industries Association said that it was third Job Fair held in the State. He said that 900 out of 4500 were selected in first job fair at Solan, while only 1900 were selected in second Job Fair at Mandi. He said that the residential facilities would be created in industrial area in near future. He appealed to people to avail of the opportunity. He said that 3000 youth to be considered during current year. Chander Shekhar Gupta, Chairman, CII, H.P. welcomed the Chief Minister and said 'Chetna Centre' had been started by CII at Government Degree College Mandi.Manoj Kumar, Director Industries proposed vote of thanks.Smt. Charu, Regional Director, BBN Industries, CII, Shri Arun Rawat, General Secretary BBN Industrial Area, prominent industrialists, Senior Officers and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
