IEPFA to organise state level conference for investors at Dharamshala

SHIMLA------A Spokesman of the state government said here today that said that Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) would organise a state level conference-cum-awareness programme in association with Institute of Charted Accountant of India at Dharamshala on 20 December, 2019. Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur will inaugurate this conference.
He said that Government of India has established the IEPFA under the provision of Companies Act, 2013 to promote investor's education, awareness and protection including making refunds of unclaimed dividends, matured deposits etc. As a part of this mandate, the authority organizes Investor Awareness Programmes (IAPs) in urban and rural areas. IEPFA has conducted about 47,000 IAPs till date.
He said that IAPs were being organised across the country for all sections of the population along-with awareness campaign at different levels for existing and potential stakeholders to improve their knowledge, understanding, skills and competence in managing money effectively and also not to fall prey to pongy schemes.
