CS presides over meeting of BoD of Dharmshala Smart City

SHIMLA------------Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi chaired the meeting of Board of Directors of Dharamshala Smart City Limited (DSCL), here today. In the meeting, various issues pertaining to Dharamshala Smart City were discussed.

During the meeting approval was given for improvement work of left out street of 16.10 kilometres, walkways 2.420 kilometres and stairs of 1.42 kilometres within the city with an outlay of Rs. 28.63 crore. Approval was provided for construction of smart parking at Dalai Lama Temple road in Engineering Procurement Contract mode with an estimate cost Rs. 5.75 crore. Approval was also provided to the proposed project of developing a smart sample road stretch of 2.750 kilometres starting from ISBT Dharamshala to Education Board.

During the meeting it was apprised that roads, streets, streetlights, walkways, etc would be developed in entire Municipal Corporation Area.

Chief Secretary emphasised on improving the basic facility of roads, transport, electricity, etc. in Dharamshala city.  He said that with improvement in basic facilities only Dharamshala could be made smart city.   

Commissioner Municipal Corporation Dharamshala and Managing Director cum CEO, DSCL Pradeep Kumar Thakur conducted the proceeding of the meeting.

Mayor Municipal Corporation Dharamshala Devender Jaggi, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Anil Kumar Khachi, Additional Chief Secretary Health R.D. Dhiman, Secretary Urban Development C. Paulrasu, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, Director Urban Development Ram Kumar Gautam  were also present in the meeting among others.
