Private educational institutes supplementing govt. efforts for quality education: CM

SHIMLA---------A delegation of Alakh Prakash Goyal (APG) Shimla University, Shimla led by its Vice Chancellor Dr. Ramesh Chaudhary called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, here today.

            Chief Minister said that private educational institutions were supplementing efforts of the government in providing quality education to the students so that they could excel in their lives. He said that State Government was providing all possible assistance to the prospective players in the education sector to start their institutions in the State.

            Dr. Ramesh Chaudhary apprised the Chief Minister that the APG University was one of the premier private universities of the country.  He said that the University has enrolment of over 2200 students with about 800 foreign students.

            Advisor A.R. Chauhan, Dean-cum-Head of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Dr. Ramesh Chauhan, Executive Officer to Vice Chancellor Jyotsna Sharma, Senior Journalist and Guest Faculty of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication Ashwani Sharma were also present on the occasion among others.
