Industries Minister presides over closing ceremony of workshop in Singapore

SHIMLA-----------Industries and Technical Education Minister Bikram Singh presided over the closing ceremony of the workshop which was organized in Singapore by Institute of Technical Education (ITE) of Singapore.

            He said that Singapore is a very advanced and modern Country which has become ideal for other countries in terms of environment, technology and development. The quality of air in Singapore is excellent for a habitable environment. These basic elements make this country great for investment and business. He appreciated the efforts of ITE Singapore in the field of Technical education.

            Industries Minister said that Himachal Pradesh also have clean and safe environment. State government is ensuring facilities for investors through making new industrial policy. We are also making abundant electricity in the state which makes electricity cheaper for the investors in comparison to others states. State government has recently organized the first Global Investors Meet on 7th and 8th November, 2019.

            He said that Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has a vision to develop India as modern and technologically advanced country. Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam is providing training to youth under Skill Development Project. Over 50,000 youth will be trained with industry-oriented skills in the next four years.

            He invited ITE to Himachal Pradesh. State is very beautiful and full of opportunities for technical education. We should also work to have some exchange programme through which the students of both sides can get experience and exposure.

            Bikram Singh said that he was very delighted and honoured to be a part of the prestigious event. He thanked ITE Singapore for inviting the delegation of Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN) to attend the workshop in Singapore and sharing their valuable experiences.

            CEO ITE Singapore Bruce Poh Geok Huat welcomed Bikram Singh on this occasion.

            Additional Chief Secretary Technical Education Nisha Singh, Managing Director HPKVN Rohan Chand Thakur including a delegation from Himachal Pradesh and other officers of ITE Singapore were also present on the closing ceremony.
