CM dedicates developmental projects worth Rs 65 crore in Haroli Vidhan Sabha area

UNA------------Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today addressed a largely attended public meeting at Kangar in Haroli Assembly Constituency of Una district.

While addressing the gathering, he announced HPSEB Ltd Division at Haroli and Sub Division at Mubarkpur. He also announced that the entry chowk in Punjab Border would be named Guru Nanak Dev Chowk. He announced Rs. one crore for construction of stadium at Badhera. He announced Rs. one crore for flood management step at Badhsali-Thollian, Rs. two crore for flood protection for Sloah Upparla and Rs. one crore for flood protection at Labana Basti-Nagnoli.

 Chief Minister also announced Rs. 20 lakh for harijan basti lower Kangar road and Rs. 15 lakh for Una-Jajon road. He said that building of Government Senior Secondary School Dhakki (Panjwar) would be constructed soon. He announced opening of Primary School at Kelua and Ayurvedic dispensary at Kangar. He said that efforts would be made to recruit Punjabi language teachers in schools of bordering areas.

Chief Minister said that he has visited Haroli Vidhan Sabha area for the fifth time during last two years. He said today he has laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs 65 crore in Haroli Vidhan Sabha area. He said that it was unfortunate that during the tenure of the previous State Government hundreds of crores rupees were wasted on construction of unmindful projects in the area, which still were lying un-utilised. He said that even the present State Government was finding it hard to properly utilise these unused buildings. 

Jai Ram Thakur thanked the people of the State for giving wholehearted support to the State Government which is the biggest asset and motivational force of the Government. He said that the BJP won in all the four parliamentary seats with a record margin not only this, BJP won in both bye elections of Dharamshala and Pachhad Assembly Constituencies.

Chief Minister said that abrogation of Article 370 has ensured that India has One Flag, One Constitution and One Nation. He said that the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court regarding Sri Ram Temple has also paved the way for construction of a magnificent Ram Temple. He said that this decision was welcomed by one and all. He said that Jan Manch programme of the State Government has ensured that public grievances were redressed on the spot at their door steps. Going a step forward, now the State Government has started Mukhiyamantri Sewa Sankalp Yojna 1100 for redressal of public grievances at the earliest.

Jai Ram Thakur said that State Government has launched several schemes for welfare of the every section of the society. He said that efforts of the State Government were to declare Himachal Pradesh as a Smoke Free State on completion of two years tenure of the State Government on 27th December, this year. He said that the opposition leaders were questioning the Global Investors' Meet organised by the State Government. He reminded the Congress leaders that they also travelled throughout the country to attract investment, but failed miserably. He said that the present Government has succeeded in signing of MoUs worth Rs 93,000 crore. 

Chief Minister inaugurated newly constructed Science Lab of Government Senior Secondary School Behdala completed at a cost of Rs 1.33 crore.

He performed Bhumi Pujan of Una Nangal Road at Behdala for upgradation of Raipur Ghandawal Road to Abada Barana under NABARD by spending Rs. 2.97 crore.

He also performed Bhumi Pujan of upgradation of Behdala to Jakhera Road by spending Rs. 3.02 crore.

Chief Minister laid foundation stone of ITI building at Mehatpur to be constructed by spending Rs.8.55 crore.

He inaugurated Community Centre at Mehatpur Basdehra constructed by spending Rs 2.50 crore and Public Park at Ward Six Mehatpur constructed by spending Rs 80 lakh.

Chief Minister performed Bhumi Pujan of improvement of Ajouli circular, Chattarpur Dhada circular road, Punna Binewal circular road and Santoshgarh to Sanoli via Malookpur upto Punjab Border Road to be completed by spending Rs 5.12 crore.

He also performed Bhumi Pujan of strengthening of Bathu-Bathri Industrial Corridor to be completed by spending Rs 2.87 crore.

Chief Minister launched Samagra Barbandi (Jal Sour Tar Bar) under Mukhiyamantri Khet Sanrakshan Yojna by inaugurating Chain Link Solar Fencing at Haroli Block which would provide solar fencing to 700 kanal land and benefit over 200 farmers. 

He inaugurated newly constructed office-cum-residence building of DSP at Haroli constructed by spending Rs. 78.27 lakh.

Chief Minister laid foundation stone of for providing Multi Villages Piped Water Supply Scheme for to be complete by spending about Rs 30 crore. 

He inaugurated tube wells at village Biderwal, Kante, Sainsowal, Panjawar, Lower Pandoga, Upper Khad and Nangal Kalan, Upper Khad, Bilna, Dulehar, Lower Badhera, Amb Jaman area, Saloh near Aryan Public School, Lower Kangar, Bathu Mohalla, Upperr Haroli and Ispur Gagret Mor completed by spending Rs six crore.

Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated Ultra Modern Milk and Food Processing Plant of Organic Valley at Badhera.

Chief Minister was presented a cheque of Rs. five lakh by the members of Haroli Block Industrialists Association towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Education Block Haroli was also presented cheque of Rs 4,27,701 towards the CMRF. 

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar while welcoming the Chief Minister in his home district said that the two days tour of the Chief Minister to the district has witnessed inauguration and foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs 208 crore, which was a record in itself. He said that Swan River Channelization was the biggest gift for the people of Una from the successive BJP Governments. He said that there was major difference between the functioning of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and the former Chief Minister. The present Chief Minister believes in working for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden, whereas the Congress Chief Minister only made tall claims, he added. 

Vice Chairman SIDC Prof. Ram Kumar, while welcoming the Chief Minister, said that the people of Haroli has witnessed unprecedented development during the last two years. He thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating developmental projects worth crores of rupees for the area. He said that the very first decision of the State Government was to reduce the age limit for availing the old pension facility from 80 years to 70 years without income limit, thereby benefitting lakhs of people of the State. He urged the Chief Minister to establish Gau Sadan, IT Park, Potato Processing Factory, Tool Room in Haroli.

State BJP President Satpal Singh Satti, Urban Development Minister Smt.  Sarveen Chaudhary, MLAs Rajesh Thakur and Balbir Chaudhary,  Vice Chairman HIMUDA Praveen Sharma, District BJP President Balbir Bagga, Deputy Commissioner Una Sandeep Kumar, SP Dibakar Sharma were present on the occasion among others.
