Online registration for Centre and State Sponsored Scholarship Schemes open till 31st December

SHIMLA---------A spokesperson of Higher Education Department informed here today that the dates for online students registration and submission of applications form on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) under the Centre and State Sponsored Scholarship Schemes for year 2019-20 has been extended. The scheme will be open till 31st December, 2019 whereas the Defective Verification and Institute Verification will be open till 15th January, 2020.
The Scholarship Schemes include Centrally Sponsored Post Matric scholarship scheme for SC students, Post Matric scholarship scheme for ST students, Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC students, Centrally Sponsored Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC students, Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST students, Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC students, Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for economically backward class (EBC) students. Similarly, other schemes include State Sponsored Mukhya Mantri Protsahan Yojana, State Sponsored Maharishi Balmiki Chatravriti Yojana, Integrated Rural Development Program (IRDP), Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana for SC and OBC students, Thakur Sen Negi Utkrisht Chatravriti Yojana, Swami Vivekanand Utkrisht Chatravriti Yojana, Kalpana Chawla Chatravriti Yojana and State Sponsored Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chatravriti Yojana.
He said that NSP would not provide any extension in dates for online application submission. The Head of Institutions would have to ensure that all eligible students apply within a stipulated time period.
