Himachal Students participated in World Record Event

Dharmshala---------All India Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA) a not-for-profit organization is the apex body, setting up standards in Robotics & Automation and education industry. 

On 19th October'2019 AICRA has set up a World Record in Largest Training on Robotics. During this training 40,000 students from New Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thrissur, Gujarat, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Dimapur, Kochi, Kohima and Himachal Pradesh were trained Pan India in assembling and running an Obstacle Avoider Robot.

In Himachal Pradesh, the world record training event was organized on 19th October '2019 at Aadhunik Public School, Dharamshala where total 884 students from various schools participated in this event. On the day of this event Col. Sandeep Rohilla, SO, Army Public School, Yol was the Chief Guest and Dharmesh Ramotra, Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education was the Guest of Honour. The event began with lamp lighting by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour followed by a cultural program by the students of Aadhunik Public School. Neelam Sharotri and Anita Verma (Principal) from Aadhunik Public School welcomed the guests and expressed that considering the use of robotics in the industry it is necessary to introduce children to Robotics during their school education. Ashish Bhagoria, MD Ashnet Consulting Pvt. Ltd. (AICRA State Office) said council works with Government, Industry and Institutions to ensure that students work in robotic labs in schools and colleges to get exposure and training on future technology, they get latest training through experts and they get platform to showcase their talent in championships, competitions, leagues and such events. AICRA has also taken an initiative of supporting and incubating the technology start-up ideas of students. Asad Omair (Head Trainer) and his team of four trainers including Sumit Chatterjee, Mohd. Huzaifa & Prasanjit Gaur from AICRA, New Delhi had come for training the students on Robotics.

Students from various schools in Dharamshala participated in the event including Aadhunik Public School (Sidhbari), Army Public School (yol), B.D D.A.V Sr. Sec. Public School, G.A.V Public School (Kangra), DAV Public School (Rehan), De Montreal Convent School (Bari), Tibetan Children's Village School (Gopalpur) and Dayanand Model Sr. Sec. School. The training begun with a session on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence by team of trainers from AICRA, New Delhi followed by a hands on activity where students were provided with Robot kits which they assembled and programmed with the help of AICRA trainers. The training lasted for 4 hours and helped the students to learn about Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and getting hands on exposure in assembling and running a Robot. The students were excited about the event and most of them expressed that this was the very first time they learned about Robotics and actually assembled a Robot.

All students were awarded a certificate of participation in World Record Training event from AICRA and Certificate of participation from World Record India. The world record on Largest Robotics Training will be registered with Guinness World Record, World Record India (WRI) & Limca Book of Records.
