CS requests GOI to declare hydro projects as linear projects

SHIMLA--------Chief Secretary Dr Shrikant Baldi and Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar met Secretary Tribal Development Government of India Deepak Khandekar at New Delhi today.
Chief Secretary requested the Government of India to declare hydro projects as linear projects in the state. He also pursued the issue of forest clearances which was causing delay in the progress of most of the developmental projects in the state. He apprised that the matter was being pursued by the state since long time.
Secretary Tribal Development assured of all possible help in speeding up the matters and informed that he would visit the state soon to discuss and settle the issues.
Deputy Resident Commissioner Vivek Mahajan was also present in the meeting.
