Painting exhibition of Himachali artists in Delhi
Shimla-----A week long exhibition has been put up by eminent Himachali artists at New Delhi from February 1-7 February, 2019 showcasing painting works by the members of Mahasu Art, a Shimla based society dedicated to the promotion of contemporary Indian painting and uniting both established and budding artists.
Prof. Him Chatterjee, Chairman Department of Visual Arts, Himachal Pradesh University informed that the exhibition is introducing many works by young members of the society which would go a long way in promoting them a wider platform. He said that apart from the solo shows, the group has put up various exhibitions in The Gaiety Theatre (Shimla), Sai Gallery (Solan), International Roerich Memorial Trust (Kullu), Khajuraho and Jaipur.
Paintings of Himachali artists Prof Him Chatterjee, Dr. Chaman Sharma, Dr. Bhader Singh, Anvita Chatterjee, Aditya Singh Thakur, Manisha Bhatia besides paintings of eminent artists from other states and abroad are also being exhibited which include artists like Tirthankar Biswas, Pinki Saini, Neeraj Jangra, Tsering Youdol, Puran Thapa, Jamuna Gurang.
The exhibition is attracting attention of people from all walks of life.
