Jai Ram Thakur thanks PM for passing the Quota Bill in Lok Sabha

Shimla----Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for passing the Bill in the Lok Sabha to amend the Constitution and providing 10 percent reservation in jobs and educational institutions to the economically backward section in the general category.
He said that the mantra of 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas' of the Centre has been further strengthened by with this historic decision.
The Chief Minister said that this decision has proved that the Union government is making all out efforts to provide equal opportunities to all sections of society to prosper in their lives. The government has also ensured that this decision has no effect on the reservation being provided to the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes.
Jai Ram Thakur said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government of India is ensuring that every poor and eligible person of every cast and community get the opportunity to live his/her life with dignity. The decision to provide 10 percent reservation to the general category reflects this sentiment of the Union Government.
He expressed hope that the Bill would also be passed comfortably in the Rajya Sabha.
