CM announces HRTC sub-depot at Ghumarwin

SHIMLA-----Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced to open HRTC sub-depot at Ghumarwin and upgrade 50-bedded Civil Hospital Ghumarwin to 100 bedded hospital. He made these announcements while addressing a public meeting at Ghumarwin in Bilaspur district today.

            Jai Ram Thakur said that the present state government will complete one year in office on 27th of this month. This tenure had been eventful and fruitful, as almost every section of the society has been benefitted by welfare schemes launched by the state government. He said that the state government has ensured that schemes launched for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden reaches the targeted section of the society.

            The Chief Minister said that he has completed 21 years in the State Legislative Assembly, but it was for the first time that 30 new schemes have been launched with provision of adequate budget by the state government for development of every section of the society. He said that the State was also fortunate to have love and benevolence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it was due to this effective co-ordination that the state has succeeded in getting developmental projects worth crores of rupees.

            He said that the government was working with a sole aim of development of the state without any tendency and attitude of vengeance. The government would at the same time ensure that the wrong doers did not go scot-free. He said that the government believes in balanced and equitable development of the State. The previous state government opened 21 degree colleges in the state with a provision of rupees one lakh each during the fag-end of its tenure.    

            Earlier, the Chief Minister laid foundation stone for construction of accommodation for the office of Deputy District Attorney, Assistant District Attorney and Public Prosecutor at Ghumarwin to be completed at a cost of Rs. 2.80 crore. He also performed 'Bhoomi Pujan' of upgradation of Panoh-Takrera-Trauntra-Ghumarwin road to be completed at a cost of Rs. 5.28 crore.

            The Chief Minister inaugurated lift water supply scheme to partially cover habitation under water supply scheme Bari-Karangora completed at a cost of Rs 1.42 crore. This would provide drinking water facilities to people of about 15 habitations of the area. He also performed 'Bhoomi Pujan' of Ladrour-Jahu road via Hatwar to be completed by spending an amount of Rs 8.40 crore.

            He inaugurated augmentation of lift water supply scheme Seu-Badhaghat-Naswal completed by spending Rs 2.34 crore. This would provide drinking water facilities to people of about 21 habitations of the area. He also inaugurated Library at Government College Ghumarwin completed at a cost of Rs 93 lakh.

            He announced construction of Mini Secretariat at Ghumarwin and upgradation of Civil Health Centre Bharari to 50 bedded hospital. He said that over head foot bridge would be constructed at Ghumarwin to facilitate the general commuters, besides developing industrial area. He said that Sanskrit college at Dangar would be taken over by the state government. He said that M.Com, MA political science, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry post graduate classes would be started in degree college Ghumarwin from next academic session.

            The Chief Minister announced upgradation of Government High Schools Mudkhar and Sol to Senior Secondary Schools and Government Middle School Palashla to High School. He said that efforts would be made to bring Kil Dam water supply scheme for Ghumarwin town under BRICS scheme phase-II.

            Earlier, while addressing the Bar Association, Ghumarwin the Chief Minister announced Rs. 5 lakh for furniture and books for the Association Library.

            Staff and students of the Degree College presented a cheque of Rs 51000 to the Chief Minister towards Chief Ministers Relief Fund.

            Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur said that the present state government led by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was providing social security pension of Rs 1300 per month without income limit. He said that Grihini Suvidha Yojna has been launched for providing free gas connection to about 1.30 lakh households. The coordinated effort made by the central and state governments was proving a boon to the people of the State which has set a pace for a vibrant Himachal. He said that AIIMS has been sanctioned by the Centre for the State, which was being opened at Kothipura in Bilaspur.

            Local MLA Rajinder Garg said that the Jan Manch programme, a brain child of the Chief Minister has emerged as one of the most popular and successful scheme of the State Government. He said that e-Taxi service has been launched in Ghumarwin to facilitate the commuters. He urged the Chief Minister to provide adequate staff in health institutions of the constituency so that people does not face any inconvenience.

            MLA's Subash Thakur and Jeet Ram Katwal, Chief Spokesman State BJP Randhir Sharma, Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Trilok Jamwal, Vice Chairman State Handicraft and Handloom Corporation Sanjiv Katwal, District BJP Chief Rakesh Gautam, OSD to the Chief Minister Mahender Dharmani, were also present on the occasion among others.
