CM Announced SDM Office and Welfare Board for Dhiman Community in Indora

Dharmshala ----Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while congratulating the people of Indora constituency on the eve of Lohari, announced SDM office for them. He, also, announced creation of Welfare Board for Dhiman community besides opening of special school for disabled after making thorough survey along with hostel facility. He also said that proper care would be taken of other demands put forth by the people through their M.L.A.
He was addressing a mammoth public meeting here today at Haler in Indora constituency.
Chief Minister said that it was he who started the practice of Winter Sojourn and he came every year in the months of January and February to ensure that the works sanctioned and schemes, projects and progammes launched by him were being implemented properly. His meeting with the people in different parts of the state strengthened the ties of the people with their govt. and thus helped the state govt. to ensure fulfillment of their demands, ambitions and aspirations.
He warned the persons involved in illegal mining and stated that stringent steps would be taken against them. He instructed the concerned departments to act cohesively against this mafia so that such activities could be stopped. He said no person irrespective of his status would be spared if found involved in such activities. He said unscientific mining led to land erosion and giving in of bridges before their stipulated period. He warned them that their machinery involved in such activities would be confiscated and would not be released at any cost. He said that laws would be amended to deal with such delinquents.
Virbhadra Singh said that the state govt. was committed to provide qualitative education in the state and it was due to the vigorous efforts of his govt. that Himachal Pradesh won the first prize in education and inclusive development in the categories of the big states in the country. He said as many as 116 govt. degree colleges had been working in the state and most of them were opened in his various stints.
Earlier, he laid foundation stones of water supply scheme, Hagwal at a cost of Rs.364.36 lakhs, a bridge at Goran Samoon at Rs.364.36 lakhs and a bridge at Kandroti at Rs. 1391.43 lakhs and Haler Indpur Road via Jhangrara with a cost of Rs.283 lakhs.
Local M.L.A. Manohar Dhiman greeted the chief minister and presented a picture of the ongoing developmental works and completed schemes and projects during the last four years in his constituency. He said that in spite of his being an independent M.L.A., the chief minister kept his hand on his constituency and money was not a constraint for carrying out developmental works. He appealed for opening of SDM office and divisions of P.W.D and Electricity departments along with fulfilling other demands.
President, Block Congress Committee Om Prakash while welcoming the chief minister and other guests requested for creation of SDM office at Indora along with putting forth other demands.

Artists of Department of Information and Public Relations enthralled the audience by presenting developmental songs on the occasion.
M.L.As, Pawan Kajal and Ajay Mahajan, Chairman OBC Finance Corporation and former minister Chaudhary Chandra Kumar, Chairman HP Board of School Education Balbir Tegta, Vice Chairman Kewal Singh Pathania, former M.L.A. Bodh Raj, DC CP Verma, SP Sanjiv Gandhi and other persons of repute were present on the occasion.
Later, the chief minister dedicated Sanjwa Bridge at Sanjwan at Rs. 259 lakhs and tourist reception centre and camping site at Pong Dam with a cost of Rs.294.47 lakhs. He also laid foundation stone of the proposed Govt. Degree College building at Rey to be completed at a cost of Rs.5crore.
