Governor urges entrepreneurs to ensure cleanliness in Industrial Areas

SHIMLA----Governor Acharya Devvrat called upon the entrepreneurs of the State to ensure cleanliness in their respective areas, so as to maintain pristine and pollution free environment of the State. The Governor was addressing the industrialists after inaugurating the 'Marketing House Unit-II' of Industrial Unit at Baddi in Nalagargh Sub division of Solan district today.

Constructed at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore, this small scale unit would provide direct employment to 25 families, besides indirect employment to over 150 families. This unit would manufacture products such as soya nuggets, macaroni, pasta, maize flour, pudding, wheat flour and  cattle feed etc.

Acharya Devrat said that the environment of the State was well suited for several types of industries. He said that it was the moral duty of the entrepreneurs to maintain pollution free environment of the State. He said that this would also help them in ensuring better quality of their products. He said that the industrialists should ensure maximum possible green cover in industrial area and also draw a long term plan for better waste management.

The Governor said that the industrialists should also come forward to undertake various developmental works in their respective areas, under the corporate social responsibility. He lauded the efforts of the industrialists for effectively undertaking developmental works in Baddi-Brotiwala-Nalagarh area under corporate social responsibility.  He also appreciated the efforts of Marketing House Unit-II for providing 51 dustbins in Baddi area.

The Governor also visited the units and envisaged keen interest in its various operations.

Shri Suresh Bansal, Managing Director Marketing House Unit-II welcomed the chief guest and apprised him about various activities being undertaken by his unit. He said that twenty more such units would be established in the region soon.

MLA Doon Shri Ram Kumar Chaudhary, MLA Nalagarh Shri K.L.Thakur, Chairman Nagar Parishad Baddi Shri Madan Chaudhary, Home Secretary of Haryana Shri P.K.Das were present on the occasion among others.
