CAIT HAILED INSTALLATION OF MODI GOVERNMENT IN THE COUNTRY HOPE DOMESTIC TRADE ON PRIORITY OF THE GOVERNMENT

SHIMLA---The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), apex body of the business community of the Country has hailed the installation of NDA Government under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi and said that it is a beginning of a new era of inclusive growth and rejuvenation of wide spread destructed economy of the Country. The CAIT has hoped that the domestic trade will find place in the priorities of the new Government.

CAIT National President Mr. B. C. Bhartia and Secretary General Mr. Praveen Khandelwal while assuring full cooperation of business community comprising of more than six crore traders across the Country said that traders across the Country perceive it as a turning point in economic history of India which is visible from the proposed reshuffling and consolidation of various Ministries.” We view it as a committed step of Shri Modi to lead India from third world developing countries to one of the most powerful economy in the world”-said both Mr. Bhartia and Mr. Khandelwal

They also said that we have every hope that Modi Government will make immediate steps to draw a mechanism to recover six lakh crores of rupees NPAs of the Public Sector Banks to ensure immediate liquidity in the market and the Country shall be able to recover from the patches of inflation and corruption. The Government will also set its agenda for re-structuring retail trade of India in consultation with traders and other stakeholders.

Both Mr. Bhartia and Mr. Khandelwal also said that burning issues like early introduction of Goods & Services Tax (GST), review of laws, Acts and Rules governing internal trade and simplification and rationalization of tax structure, review of Food Safety & Standards Act, alternate financial mechanism for small traders and low income group, upgradation and modernisation of existing retail trade of India shall be on priority of the new Government.
