JAWALAMUKHI---Thakur Sukhvinder Singh,State President of Himachal Pardesh Congress Committee on Saturday said that there was no need of adopting the Gujarat Model for the country as being alleged by BJP bigwigs, completely forgetting that they were many other states in the country which were far more advanced and developed than Gujarat. While addressing reporter at Electricity Rest House Jawalamukhi ,HPCC President claimed that the Himachal Pradesh was far better a much more developed State than Gujarat and ranks second in literacy after Kerela in the country, which means that people of Himachal were far more educated and more developed. Congress Chief said that the BJP leaders of Himachal Pradesh were not able to judge and see that Himachal was a developed state and were bent upon adopting Gujarat Model. Thakur said that the BJP was puzzled over the growing popularity of the congress and foreseeing defeat of its all four candidates in Lok Sabha elections. He said that Prem Kumar Dhumal was confined to Hamirpur constituency only as he can visualize the defeat of his son Anurag Thakur this time. He said that the politics of lies and vendetta, as being done by BJP was not going to last long. He said that history has witnessed that whenever congress came to power in the state it worked for overall and equitable development of all areas. He said BJP had never been considerate to the welfare of the people of Himachal. Since the formation of the State there was not any contribution of BJP in development of the state. He said that BJP always played politics based on Region and religion and always dived the people on communal lines.
