SHIMLA----K.S. Tomar, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has urged the state Government to extend its support to the young and promising artists in the field of photography to enable them in pursuing their creative talent.
He made this observation after taking round of the photo Exhibition of amateur photographer M.R. Sharma at Gaiety Theatre, here today. The Exhibition has been sponsored by the department of Language, Art & Culture, Himachal Pradesh.
Evincing keen interest in the photo Exhibition, Sh Tomar said that the Photographs of Shri M.R. Sharma provide a peep in to the Art, Culture & splendor of Himachal Pradesh which have a wider range and variety of subjects. The Exhibition gives celestial pleasure to the inner soul. He said that the younger artists must imbibe the creativity exhibited trough a galaxy of the photographs. He said that such Exhibitions should also be put up at District & Tehsil level so that more and more people were exposed to the art of Photography. He also underlined the need to explore the creative & innovative works of young and budding artist. Such exhibitions also provide conducive platform to the tourists visiting Himachal Pradesh since they were inspired by the range of Photographs which ultimately help to promote tourism.
Applauding a rich talent of M.R. Sharma, Sh Tomar hoped that the exhibition at Gaiety Theatre would be a source of inspiration to the large number of art lovers.
