JAWALAMUKHI---Soon after Narender Modi government takes over in Delhi with the vote of the people, the Himachal Pradesh government of Congress party at Shimla will go and Modi government would get cases of corruption against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh investigated by a transparent CBI.
This was stated by former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal at Jawalamukhi while addressing the party workers rally today. Shanta Kumar, Prof Dhumal and Ramesh Dhawala joined the dais here.
Dhumal said that all sections of the society suffered during the UPA I and II government as it failed to combat price hike, corruption, unemployment and scams worth lakhs of crores of rupees.
"Need is to vote for not forming a government at the Centre but to save the country from a disastrous situation created by the Congress party in the country," he said.
He was critical of UPA government over Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) program which left people to financial loss besides the program was left in topsy-turvy well in the beginning.
Raking up the casteist sentiments, Prof Dhumal said Narender Modi, BJP Prime Ministerial candidate, belonged to Other Backward classes (OBC) and asked the people belonging to the OBC section of the society, which dominates the Kangra constituency, to vote for the first ever OBC prime ministerial candidate.
Shanta Kumar, contrary to the call given by Dhumal to vote for first OBC prime ministerial candidate, said BJP had been working for the unity and integrity of the country, and to ask for a vote on caste basis was an insult to the martyrs and the country both.
Mr Kumar announced that booth level workers would launch door to door campaign from tomorrow and letter from him would be delivered in every family.
