SHIMLA-----The High Court of H.P. today reserved its judgement on the petition filed by the HPCA to quash the FIR against it under Prevention of Corruption Act. The Single Bench of Acting Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir passed these orders after hearing the arguments of the HPCA and the State govt.
Meanwhile in another case filed by the HPCA, the Division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan adjourned the matter till April 29. The HPCA has filed application to implead Sh. Virbhadra Singh, the Chief Minister of H.P., Sh. Balbir Singh Thakur, S.P. Kangra, Sh. Sanjay Kumar, Director General of Police H.P. and Sh. C. Paulrasu, District Magistrate Kangra as respondents in individual capacity.
The High Court had earlier decided the matter by dismissing the application to implead the Chief Minister and other govt. functionaries and partially allowing the amendment of Writ petition. On this, the HPCA had moved the Supreme Court, which remanded the matter back to the High Court for deciding it afresh.
