SHIMLA------------The Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of H.P. Sh. Mansoor Ahmad Mir visited the site of H.P. State Judicial Academy at Ghandal today. He overviewed the construction activities being carried out on the spot and the detailed presentation made by the HPPWD authorities on the project.
Justice Mir also perused the maps of the proposed Academy on the site and gave directions to the PWD authorities to carry out the construction in a manner that minimum loss is caused to the ecology of the area. He further directed to take all possible steps for preservation of rainwater and emphasized that latest techniques of rain harvesting be adopted.
The Acting Chief Justice himself planted a tree to give beginning to the plantation project and directed the Forest authorities to plant ornamental as well as fruit bearing plants.
The PWD authorities clarified that the beautification, modernization and ethnic architecture would be combined together to construct an energy-efficient building, which will be constructed using local material, complementing the local character.

Yashwant Singh and Deputy Director Ms. Anuja Sood, Chief Engineer, Shimla Zone, HPPWD Sh. M.S. Thakur, Superintending Engineer 4th Circle HPPWD Sh. B.S. Chauhan, Senior Architects Sh. Nand Kishore Negi and Prem Singh Negi and Architect Rajeev and the Divisional Forest Officer Sh. V.K. Sharma were also present on the site.
