Rashtriya Ekta Yatra started from Kolkata is marching ahead and people’s support to it is also increasing in the same proportion. A very warm welcome was extended to the Yatra in Datia. In the meeting held, BJYM National President Sh. Anurag Thakur hit hard on the opponents of the yatra and said that the persons, who are opposing the Yatra and have threatened to prevent it, are traitors and they should be put behind bars. We will not tolerate the attempts of splitting the country. While facing separatism with nationalism, it will be dealt with an iron hand. He said that Tiranga is the symbol of India’s honour and self-respect. To hoist it anywhere is a constitutional right. Hence, similar action should be taken against the anti-nation people creating hurdles in hoisting it at Lal Chowk as is done against the traitors. Shri Thakur has said that BJYM is organising Rashtriya Ekta Yatra throughout the country in order to make the people aware of serious situation in Kashmir. He added that the conditions in problem affected state of J&K have deteriorated further during the last 6 months. A few separatists do not represent the entire valley. The common man of the valley wants to remain with India, but certain people are trying to separate them from the main stream. Whether it is Congress led UPA Govt. or Omar Abdullah’s National Conference State Govt. having Congress support, both are incapable of handling the situation in the valley. The situation in the valley will get further deteriorated by Omar Abdullah Govt.’s scheme of rehabilitation of terrorists residing in POK. Sensitiveness of Central Govt. in this regard to Kashmir can be judged by the statements of the interlocutors sent by it. The interlocutors are themselves speaking the language of separatists which is causing serious threat to the national security. Use of hired stone pelters, pelting of stones on security forces and frequent changing of policy of deployment of security forces are the factors due to which the morale of security forces is going down. The decisions being taken during the recent past show the weak political will of Central and State Govts.
Accusing the Chief Minister of J&K Omar Abdullah of playing dual type of politics, in the meeting, BJYM National President Sh. Anurag Thakur criticised him for raising the issue of Kashmir’s merger with India. He said that it is a matter of great sorrow and pain that Omar Abdullah speaks in Indian parliament in some voice and on reaching Kashmir he speaks in another voice. That shows his intention of splitting the country. Shri Thakur has said that the people of the country have come to know the conspiracy of Omar Abdullah and they will never allow it to succeed. Kashmir is the crown of India and it will remain so for ever. He said that the attempts to split the country will not be tolerated. The object of this Yatra to Kashmir is to fight separatism with Nationalism. Rashtriya Ekta Yatra proceeded from Jhansi in the morning and reached Datia. The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs of Madhya Pradesh, sh. Narottam Mishra and BJYM State President Sh. Jitu Jirati welcomed the BJYM National President Sh. Anurag Thakur enroute and showered flowers on the caravan of Rashtriya Ekta Yatra.
