Dhumal government) is perhaps the worst government which Himachal has ever had

Chandigarh----Union Steel minister and former HP Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today launched a scathing attack on the state government, calling it "perhaps the worst government which Himachal has ever had".
"It (Dhumal government) is perhaps the worst government which Himachal has ever had. They have not even one single achievement to show and have failed on all fronts," Singh told reporters here tonight after delivering a lecture on ''International Conference on Cooperative Development, Peace and Security in South, Central, East and whole Asia.''
The event was organised by the Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID) here. Delegates from the SAARC countries and Canada and Singapore are also participating in the three-day conference.
"Progress has come to a standstill in Himachal Pradesh under the Dhumal-headed regime. In education field, they have failed to add even one school," he alleged.
The Mandi MP also accused the state government of adding to the mushrooming growth of private universities without laying any emphasis on the quality of education.
He said his Ministry was looking to bring new technology for steel manufacturing, which would help manufacture steel even from inferior quality iron ore. "We are presently studying this technology in South Korea and Japan."
During his address, he said India and its neighbouring countries should increase regional cooperation for growth, prosperity and stability in the South Asian region.
"We have to come together like the European Union has.
Coming together does not mean abolishing boundaries, but we can have more economic cooperation and make meaningful contribution for regional development," he said.
On the occasion, Singh announced setting up of Jawahar Lal Nehru SAIL Chair in socio-economic development at the CRRID and gave Rs 3 crore for it.
