CM performs foundation stone of CHC building at Jwalaji

JAWALAMUKHI ---- Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister said that quality based amenities were being created in Jwalaji town to facilitate the devotees visiting the shrine of Shri Jwalaji from different parts of the country round the year. He was speaking after performing foundation stone laying ceremony of Community Health Centre building to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.49 crore and Canopy connecting the Jwalaji shrine with main road estimated to cost Rs. 1.18 crore at Jwalamukhi town of Kangra district today.

Chief Minister said that State Government was committed to maintain the sanctity of all the prominent shrines in the State and provide best of the basic amenities to the people. He said that with the construction of CHC building at Jwalaji, better health care facilities would be available not only to the local people but to the devotees as well. He said that Canopy connecting the main shrine with main road would help devotees to approach the temple in all weather without any inconvenience. He said that Kangra district was known for many prominent shrines which included Jwalaji, Chamunda, Brajeshwari, Ashapuri and Shiv Temple of Baijnath, which had been attracting devotees in large number to pay obeisance. He said that all out efforts were being made to uphold the sanctity and carry devotional activities in a traditional and sanctified manner.

Later, he also offered obeisance at the shrine of Shri Jwalaji and also participated in yajna performed on the occasion.

He also listened to the public grievances of the people which had gathered from different parts of the area and passed necessary directions to the concerned authorities for taking appropriate action on priority.

Shri Kishan Kapoor, Industries Minister, Shri Ramesh Dhawala, Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Shri Sanjay Chaudhary, MLA, Shri Navin Dhiman, former MLA and Shri Vikram Thakur, former MLA and Vice Chairman, H.P. State Forest Corporation and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
