Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister said that State would create investment friendly environment and solve all difficulties of entrepreneurs in order to provide them all possible help to strengthen the industrial infrastructure in the State. He said that best efforts would be made to get special industrial package upto the year 2013 and added that ESI hospital with 100 bed capacity would be set up at Bhojia Dental College soon. He was addressing the inaugural ceremonies of Su-kam, SMF Battery Plant and 9th Unit of Mahavir Spinning Mill of Wardhman, which he inaugurated in the industrial area of Baddi in district Solan today.
Chief Minister said that State Government was committed to create industrial friendly environment and welcome all the prospective entrepreneurs to the State to set up their industrial units. He said that State had quality industrial infrastructure to cater to the requirements of the industrialists. He said that there was need for dispersal of industrial activities to the interiors of the State so that entire State was involved in industrial expansion activities. He said that all out efforts would be made so solve the difficulties of industrialists, which were coming into the notice of the Government.
Chief Minister said that State would look into the illegal land deals, if any, had taken place in the industrial area and added that State Government would make all land deals transparent and protect the interests of entrepreneurs and land owners of the area, who had made their land available to give boost to industrialization. He said that no middleman would be permitted to intervene in land purchase matters.
Prof. Dhumal said that minimum wages to industrial workers would be ensured by implementing Minimum Wages Act in letter and spirit. He said that entrepreneurs also needed to maintain work culture, cordial relations with workers so that best outputs were received. He appealed to the industrialists to invest in the best law and order, investment friendly environment of the State where Government would act as facilitator and extend all help. He said that basic infrastructure in all industrial areas would be strengthened.
He said that State Government was committed to realize the dream of former Prime Minister, Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee, who had special attachment with the people of the State and wanted speedy development in order to make the State self reliant. He said that during his term, priority was accorded to industrialization so that planned development was ensured.
Chief Minister said that Su-kam was one of the export oriented unit which had come up in Baddi area and added that there were number of such units which were being set up and could be instrumental in providing momentum to industrialization. He said that State would welcome more eco-friendly and export oriented units which would generate employment and self-employment to educated unemployed youth and added that interests of the State and its people would be protected.
He said that State would raise its concern to get special industrial package to its original sanctioned date of 2013 by former Prime Minister, Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee through all the channels and added that objective of the package would not be obtained unless it was extended.
Chief Minister congratulated that Mahavir Spinning Mill for about Rs. 1500 crore investment in the State generating employment to 6000 people and for pioneering the textile industry in the State.
Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Health Minister welcomed the Chief Minister. He said that rapid industrialization was taking place in the district and added that special industrial package sanctioned by former Prime Minister Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee had benefitted the State. He congratulated the Chief Minister for presenting a popular budget.
Shri S.P. Oswal, Chairman, Mahavir Spinning Mill thanked the Chief Minister for the dedicating the 9th unit of Textile Division to the nation. He thanked him for inspiring the organization to invest in textile industry. He urged for opening of ESI hospital besides creating quality infrastructure.
Shri Sachit Jain, E.D, Wardhman also welcomed the Chief Minister.
Shri Kunwar Sachdev, CEO, Su-kam thanked Chief Minister for inaugurating SMF battery plant and detailed out the activities.
