Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, released the video compact disc (VCD) of the prominent folk singer of the area Shri Karnail Rana at Dharamshala today.Congratulating the folk singers and producers of the VCD, he said that Himachal Pradesh was rich in culture and such modern tools of music and entertainment were instrumental in preservation of the rich cultural heritage of the state for future generations. He emphasized the need to uphold the original folk music and lyrics so that the originality was not diluted in the mad race towards western music. He said that Shri Karnail Rana, had been promising folk artist and a source of inspiration to budding artists of the state.Shri Ravinder Ravi, IPH Minister, Shri Kishan Kapoor, Transport Minister, Shri Ramesh Dhwala, Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Smt. Sarveen Chaudhary, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Shri Praveen Sharma, MLA, Shri Kripal Parmar, former MP, Shri Vikram Thakur, former MLA, Shri Bhim Sen, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri K.K.Pant, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Atul Fulzele, Superintendent of Police, Dr. Arun Sharma, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister and other prominent people marked the launch ceremony.
