Harish Kapoor Arrested in Shimla

JAWALAMUKHI March 21---Harish Kapoor, State General Secretary of the Himachal Youth Congress today arrested by the local Police. The D S P Dehra Sita Ram told newsmen here,he was absconder in a criminal case of attempt to murder case. He was arrested at Shimla in himachal High court last evening, when he was trying to get bail. A case under section 143, 146, 323 & 307 already registered against him, some days back by the police.Though local Police had taken a lenient view in this case but stern action was taken when the State Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal directly intervened into the matter. He directed the SSP Kangra to do the needful within two days.It may be mentioned that this sordid state of affairs was initiated by Harish Kapoor to exhibit his might in the town. As a ring leader he along with his accomplices is responsible for this reprehensible action.It so happened that a batch of almost 20 youg men reached at Mandir Road two days back. The story goes like that Harish Kapoor allegedly pierced a broken bottle in the stomach of Piyush, a local youth. Their ring leader was Harish Kappor, after reaching there all of them unleashed an assault on Piyush at Mandir Road without any reason. This pre-planed assault inflicted serious injuries on Piyush. The victim was refrred to PGI Chandigarh by the doctors of Tanda Medical College. He is in critical condition hanging between life and death.Seven out of the nine accused have been remanded in judicial custody of 14 days by the court of Sub Judge Dehra. On the other hand Prime accused Harish Kapoor absconded from the Session Judge Dharmshala, when he was trying to get interim bail. co accused Gulshan get interim bail from Himachal High court.
