Teachers play an important role in polishing students' talent: Sanjay Ratan
Annual function of Government Senior Secondary School, Tehri
In his address at the annual prize distribution ceremony of Government Senior Secondary School, Tehri, Jwalamukhi MLA Sanjay Ratan said that teachers play an important role in polishing the talent of students. He urged teachers to focus on the holistic personality development of children and emphasized paying special attention to activity-based learning, creative programs, and skill development.
He said that to provide children with a better educational environment and competitive education, the state government has also started English medium education in government schools.
He said that education is not limited to books only; rather, children acquire knowledge more effectively through the process of peer learning, i.e., learning together with peers. He said that young children have a natural curiosity to ask questions, and in such cases, answering their questions should encourage their learning process.
He said that CBSE-based schools are being recognized in the Jwalamukhi assembly constituency. Additionally, a Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School is being established near Banue Da Khuh. He said that all these steps by the state government will not only enhance the quality of education in the Jwalamukhi assembly area but will also provide opportunities for children in rural areas to attain better education.
He said that educational institutions in the Jwalamukhi assembly constituency are being developed as model educational institutions, enabling children here to build their future as doctors, administrative officers, and in other fields. "I want every child in my area to be educated," he said.
On this occasion, MLA Sanjay Ratan listened to the grievances of the local people and directed the officials to resolve them promptly.
Earlier, School Principal Manoj Kumar welcomed the chief guest and provided information about the school's activities.
