L. G Manoj Sinha has failed to protect the life of innocent Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir Valley – KP Association

Dharamshala, May 14 Kashmiri Pandits living in the Kangra valley of Himachal Pradesh have expressed their strong resentment and protest against BJP government at the center and L G Manoj Sinha administration in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir because they have allegedly failed in protecting the Kashmiri Pandits from target killings of Pakistan sponsored terrorists in the valley.
Kashmiri Pandits aligned to different parties today held a condolence meeting here and prayed for the soul of Rahul Bhat that should rest in peace. The speakers condemned the failure of the central and Union Territory L G government for the failure in protecting innocent Kashmiri Pandits from the clutches of armed Pakistani sponsored militants.
Satish Kumar Bhat and DP Dassi President and Secretary respectively of Kashmiri Hindu Welfare Association Dharamshala said that it was unfortunate that target killings of Kashmiri Pandits continue in the valley even after 32 years of the migration of their parents. Both the leaders condemned the innocent killings.
Ashok Raina a social activist said that it was a failure of the government in protecting the innocent Kashmiri pundits. He said that this community had been a victim of the fury for the last so many decades with no political party was there to help them. He said that the Kashmiri Pandits had no vote bank and no sincere leadership and no political God Father so this community was facing the onslaught from generation to generation. He said that on one hand this unfortunate community was left in a lurch by all the political parties and on the other hand pain and atrocities this community was facing were being misused by the politicians for their political vested interests.
Raina demanded that the young people of this community, who have been appointed in Kashmir under Prime Minister package should be shifted back to Jammu as migrant employees so that their life and honour could be is saved.
He said that Kashmiri Pandits stood at the cross road even after leaving the valley 32 years back and now their children are living in the valley on the razor edge of a sword which had been haunting the community from times immemorial. The dream of rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits back in the valley and that too in their ancestral places shown by the BJP government has been shattered which Kashmiri Pandits feel was dejecting. He asked the all political parties not to exploit the trauma of Kashmiri Pandits for their political vested interests any more.
Rattan Lal Bhat and Chand ji both residents of Dharamshala described the police action tear gassing and lathi charge on Kashmiri Pandit protestors at Badgam as condemnable. They demanded that L G Manoj Sinha should be sacked for his failure to run the Union territory administration in right perspective.
