Advisor SDG NITI Aayog calls on CM

SHIMLA----Advisor, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), NITI Aayog Sanyukta Samaddar called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today and presented SDG India -Index and Dashboard 2020-21 Partnership in the Decade of Action to the Chief Minister.

             Chief Minister said that the State was committed to effectively achieve the targets set by the NITI Aayog under Sustainable Development Goals. He said that the State has scored 74 points overall under SDG and has been ranked second by the NITI Aayog in the country.  He said that the achievements of the State in decent work and economic growth, quality education, gender equality, affordable and clean energy, health and happiness, reduce inequality have been appreciated by the NITI Aayog. 

            Advisor SDG NITI Aayog Sanyukta Samaddar said that the NITI Aayog has developed the framework of SDG India Index and Dashboard to capture the progress made by the States and the Union Territories. 

            Additional Chief Secretary Finance Prabodh Saxena, Additional Chief Secretary J.C. Sharma and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
